  • Our ideal client relationship is one where we embark on this journey together, side by side. You’re in your 20’s, 30’s and 40’s, built a successful career to this point and simply don’t have the time or wherewithal to get yourself to the next level.

    You have big dreams for how you want your life to go and want to enjoy the ride without having to worry if you’re making the right decisions or not.

    You understand that you can simply google most of the questions you have, but constantly worry about execution and are humble enough to know you don’t know everything. You’re excited about the idea of working with an expert to help you build a path forward so you can focus on the things that truly matter to you!

  • We do! The benefit of primarily being a virtual practice is that we work with clients all across the country. Those in the tech community tend to move around quite so being virtual allows us to stay in contact with clients regardless of where they are.

    If you ever need us, we’re just a phone call, text, email or zoom meeting away!

  • We work with some incredibly intelligent individuals who can certainly figure a lot of this stuff out themselves. However, we find that most clients seek us out because they worry about making costly mistakes and would prefer to spend their time with their families or on their career rather than worrying if they made the right financial decision.

    They also tend to want a soundboard so when big financial decisions come up, they have a trusted, unbiased figure to talk it through with. We aim to remove as much uncertainty about the future for our clients as we can.

  • We have two specific service models for our clients:

    Foundations - aimed at helping individuals in the earlier innings of building wealth. Given the lower complexity level of those in this phase, we charge a flat fee of $1,700/yr, paid quarterly, and an investment management fee of 0.5% on any assets we manage.

    Advanced - designed for those with higher incomes and asset levels that are further along on their wealth building journey. Given the higher level of complexity, we charge an Assets Under Management (AUM) fee of 1% on the first $1MM, 0.75% on the next $1MM, the 0.5% for anything over that. This includes all aspects of financial planning as well. (Flat Fee options are available upon request)

  • We do not prepare tax returns, however we partner with a number of highly qualified CPA’s that we have specifically vetted to file client returns. We also work hand in hand with your own CPA if you already have an existing relationship that you would like to keep.

    Although we don’t file your returns, we specialize in advanced tax planning strategies for our clients to ensure you pay as little tax as possible over your lifetime. This includes assisting with things like Roth Conversions, Back Door Roth’s, Charitable Giving Strategies, Avoiding AMT with Incentive Stock Options (ISO’s), avoiding surprise tax bills with Restricted Stock Units (RSU’s), withholding enough taxes throughout the year to pay estimated taxes quarterly, etc.

  • Before we mutually agree to work together, we’ll have two meetings about a week or two apart.

    The first meeting is just meant to learn a little more about you and what you’re hoping to accomplish by working with a planner, more about us and our firm, and how we might be able to help.

    In the second meeting, we’ll build out a one page financial scorecard for you based on the info we learned during and after the first meeting, review some of the immediate recommendations we have based on what we see, and go over next steps if we choose to move forward.

    Initial Plan Presentation - After the client agreement is signed, the fun starts! We’ll have you build your profile out in our financial planning platform, RightCapital, upload all relevant documents needed for us to start crafting your financial plan, then review our findings/recommendations. If we manage any investments of yours, we will also initiate tranfers from your existing custodian to our own platform, Altruist. You’ll have an intuitive, easy to use app to review your portfolios whenever you want.

    For the remainder of the first year, we’ll meet a few more times virtually so we can work together to start ticking off the action items from the initial plan. Once we get the immediate items in place, we’ll then flip to our semi-annual review meetings where we’ll review any life changes and tweak things as needed.

    Lastly, we don’t want our clients to ever think its our way or the highway. We love keeping an open door policy so when things come up in-between our set meeting times, we’re more than happy to talk!
